At that meeting the following officers were elected, after Mr. George Birtch had been placed in the chair : Millner Harrison, township clerk ; Thomas Shoebottom, council- lor ; Body Hanley, assessor ; Edward Styles, collector ; poundkeepers for St. Marys, Samuel Fraligh, Thomas Skinner ; in the township, John Switzer, Daniel Powell. On concession 14 to Thomas Skinner, on August 6th, 1853.
