    After a six-month battle with cancer, George Reynolds Brown, Jr. passed away June 2, 2010 in his home in Stafford, Virginia.

    Reynolds was born October 27, 1957 in Ft. Worth, Texas to George Reynolds Brown, Sr. and Floy McWilliams Brown. He graduated from Memorial High School in Tulsa, OK in 1975. He attended the University of Oklahoma and later finished his degree in geology at the University of Texas, Permian Basin in 1983.

    Reynolds began his 20 years of service with Waste Management in Dallas, Texas. After living in several places, he was transferred to Stafford, VA as the Industrial Project Manager in-Plant Services Group. He loved his job and co-workers tremendously. Reynolds enjoyed playing golf and was a great reader.

    He is survived by his mother, Floy Brown, Manor Park of Midland, Texas; aunts Myra Robinson of Big Spring, Texas and Lucy Saye of Clarendon, Texas and many cousins. His father and infant sister Ellen preceded him in death.

    Reynolds was a member of Summit Presbyterian Church in Stafford. His family would like to express deep appreciation to Rev. Steve Dyer for his many visits, to Donna Noonan for her many hours of loving care, to Hospice and his friends and co-workers with Waste Management.

    Graveside services will be held in the Colorado City Cemetery in Colorado City, Texas on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 am. Rev. Walter Thompson, First Presbyterian Church, Midland, will officiate.
