    Per ref D/HEW 10/1/7 p233 #35473 dated 4 Sep 1854, Margaret Mathieson McRae,
    age 28, born Back St, Campbeltown, admitted to Cholera Hospital. Husband
    John McRae, b Ireland, d in Glasgow 18 mths previously. Applicant has no
    family and is a person of irregular habits with no settled residence.
    Previously lived in Dundee (2 yrs) & Campbeltown (8 mths). Father Malcolm
    Mathieson, occupation Porter, lives somewhere in Glasgow but not known
    where. For proof of her birth in Campbeltown refer to Margaret Mathieson (?)
    widow (?) Mrs Millan, the applicant's aunt resiident Kirk St, Campbeltown,
    and her uncle Peter Mathieson, occupation Sawyer, resident same street.

    Per Ref D/HEW 10/4/37 p71 #B50585 dated 28 July 1868, Margaret Mathieson or
    McRae, 35 Gallowgate, b Campbeltown, widow aged 35, Protestant, wholly
    disabled with D/Ts. Husband John McRae, Tailor, b Ireland d 9 yrs
    previously. Applicant's father Malcolm Mathieson, Publican, & mother Rose
    McLean, both deceased.

    Per Ref D/HEW 10/1/45 p211 dated 5 April 1872, Margaret Mathieson, resident
    King St on a stair, age 42, b Campbeltown, single, occupation Prostitute, religion
    Protestant, suffering debility due to intemperance. She is the daughter of
    Malcolm Mathieson, a Police Constable who died in the City Poorhouse, & Rose
    McLean, also deceased. She has been living at various addresses in King St
    for 4 mths & 7days, before that at 113 Stockwell St with cousin, Mrs Kelly
    (10 yrs) and before that at 113 Stockwell St with her father for a number of
    years. Sent to Poorhouse 12 April 1872, but left at own request (LAOR).
    Re-applied 10 Feb 1873 from Night Asylum & ceertified disabled with
    syphilis; admitted to Lock Hospital, then to Poorhouse 12 Feb 1873. On 11
    Dec 1874 re-applied from 37 High St (residence of Mrs Kelly); certified with
    ulcer on leg. Has no friends. Since last application has been living with
    Mrs Kelly at 37 High St (1 mth 14 days), and before that at 30 Princes St
    with Mrs Drysdale (12 yrs). Left Poorhouse 30 Dec 1884 AOR, but re-applied
    on 12 Jan 1885 from 37 High St (Mrs Kelly) & certified w bronchitis. To
    Poorhouse 13 Jan 1885, LAOR 18 Feb 1885. 6 April 1885 re-applied from 37
    High St (Mrs Kelly) & certified w Dropsy. 31 May 1885 died in Poorhouse.
