A man, aged 21 years, by name Allen Roseneath Jenkins, last week met with a singular death at Mount Taurus, in the vicinity of Koroit. He has been the subject of epileptic fits all his life, and during the night had three, the last being at 7 o'clock. His brother, who had the care of the young man, left him for a few minutes, and when he returned his brother had disappeared. A search was made, and deceased was found in a quarry hole standing almost erect in some four feet of water. When addressed he did not answer, and it was discovered that life was extinct, but the cause of death is un known. It is assumed that his brain was affected by the fits, and he was not conscious of what he was doing.
