Name Theresa Margaret Gagen Born 1 Oct 1901 Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia Gender Female Died 18 May 1995 Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Notes - "Theresa Margaret GAGEN, or Tessie as she was known, was born in the Toowoomba Hospital on 1 October 1900 when her early arrival caused her parents to abandon the train they were on while travelling from Roma to Laidley. Tessie was educated at the Esk State School, however she was required to spend a lot of her spare time assisting Eva in bringing up the children. In the 1920s she married William Gilmour MACLEAN, a Scotsman born in Lanark shire on 22 November 1897, who had coincidentally served in the same regiment as his father-in-law during the first world war, and worked for the Queensland Railways. Tessie and "Scotty" had two children, Eva Mae (30 November 1925) and James Gilmour (29 May 1933). Scotty died on 9 August 1965 and was cremated at Mt Gravatt. Tessie remained pert and lively at Nazareth House, Wynnum, till her quiet death on 18 May 1995. She is buried at Hemmant cemetery."
