Our lovely bud to us was sent, We thought that she was given, But, alas, we found she was only lent, She has gone to bloom in Heaven. IN MEMORIAM. The spring is coming with the flowers, The spring time is slowly coming on, The rosebuds are on the rose trees, But our dear little rosebud is gone. Sad, so sad, to lose our darling, She forthwith the golden Crown hath won, The angels waited for our darling, Yet they have not waited long ; Free they claimed our little flower, And our brightest rosebud is gone. But still we sadly will remember Her we looked and smiled upon, Tho' far from us in the graveyard yonder, There sleeps our rosebud loved and gone. C. K.
