  Married: The Parish records of Inverchaolain state: 16/4/1831 That Peter McIntyre in the parish of Kilfinan came this day to intimate his purpose of marriage with Elizabeth Brown in Milton of this parish desiring the same to be duly published in form of law which was done but they were not married, she having run off with a John Crawford late shepherd in Ardentraive. 30/4/1831 The above John Crawford intimated to the ??? here on the 30th April 1831 that he and the above mentioned Elizabeth Brown in Milton were married by a Justice of Peace on the 18th current and requested that they should be proclaimed here as lawfully married persons on the three sabbaths immediately following such intimation which was accordingly agreed to by and done
