Inventory given up by Andrew McWilliam, farmer in Peninver and Catherine McWilliam, spouse of Andrew Stewart in Skeroblin, executors dative.
The defunct is referred to elsewhere as tenant in Smerby
The inventory reveals that there was a legal action in tthe Dheriff Court to decide whether the stocks and crops on the farms of Craigs and Coluska belonged to the defunct or to two sons, John and Aalexander, that the stock and farm tools on the farms of Smerby and Peninver had been sold by roup on a warrant from the Sheriff Substitute but several bills are still outstanding and are listed.

Kintyre families by Angus Martin states that in a memorial, dated 26/7/1798 from Borgadelmore, Thomas Train stated he had been shepherd at the Mull of Kintyre for more than 20 years and was a partner in hte Mull Company, a consortium of sheep-farmers.

Killean Graveyard
The first stone erected is in memory of DUGULD BLEU, late miller at Largie Mill, who died 5 July 1792 aged 58 years. Next to it stands a stone erected by Grace MacAlister in memory of her husband, DANIEL BLUE late miller and tacksman of Killean who died A.D. 1815 aged 65 years.
As early as 1661 land owners were ordering the destruction of the old quern stones used for grinding meal (
