Pearl was born in Conquest on August 11, 1916 and lived all her life there, except for the past 8 months when she resided at Cherished Hearts Personal Care Home in Regina. She was predeceased by her parents Esau and Ida Larocque; sister Ida; brothers: Art, Stu, Walt, Archie and Lee; her husband Clare; and grandson Andrew. She is survived by her son Mitch (Linda); grandson Matthew all of Regina; sister Mary McAdam; and special niece Linda Sinclair both of Conquest, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Cherished Hearts for the outstanding care given to Pearl during her time there. At Pearl's request no funeral will be held. A PRIVATE FAMILY INTERMENT will be held at a later date in the Fertile Valley Cemetery. Pearl was a granddaughter of Ferdinand Larocque [b.August 12th 1850 in Darling Township, ON. - d. unknown in Conquest, SK.] and Marie Trudeau [b.September 01st 1850 in Darling Township, ON. - d.July 07th 1926 in Conquest, SK.]. Pearl's Mother, Ida May Skinner, was the third child in a family of nine children born to Archibald "Archie" Skinner [b.January 18th 1854; died before 1911 at Conquest, SK.] and Isadora Agnes Lundy [b.November 25th 1867; died July 11th 1935 at Winnipeg, MB.]. Ida's Parents were married June 27th 1883 in North Dufferin, Manitoba. Ida May Skinner and Esau Larocque were married in 1912 at Conquest, Saskatchewan. Their children, all born in Conquest SK., were: 1. Mary Agnes Larocque born in 1913, died August 25th 1922 in Conquest, Saskatchewan 2. Pearl Elizabeth Larocque.... 3. Arthur "Art" Larocque born March 15th 1917, died September 25th 1991 in Calgary, Alberta. He married Annie Spilloway [b.April 02nd 1917 in Maple Creek, SK..; died June 04th 1933 in Calgary], on June 03rd 1939 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. They had 8 children. 4. Stuart "Stu" Larocque born July 29th 1919, died March 1985 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He married Kathleen Brennan [b.December 26th 1912 in Yorkshire, England; died after 1985 in Saskatoon] on March 17th 1945 in Yorkshire, England. They had 5 children. 5. Walter Larocque born June 19th 1921; died after 1985 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He married Mary Brennan on October 28th 1944 in Hudderfield, Yorkshire, England. They had 5 children. 6. Archibald "Archie" born February 06th 1923, died February 04th 1988 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He married Frances Kinnaird about 1949 in Vancouver, B.C. They had 2 children. 7. Lee Lloyd Larocque born August 17th 1927, died in 1978 in Unity, Saskatchewan. He married Vorma Loreen Schrader in 1957 in Swanson, Saskatchewan. They had 4 children. 8. Mary Ida Larocque is the only surviving member of her immediate family - she lives in Conquest, SK. She married Cecil Raymond McAdam [b.May 18th 1925 in Conquest, SK.; died November 26th 1991 in Milden, Sasktchewan], on February 10th 1951 in Calgary, Alberta. Since his retirement in 1972, he has spent summers in Butte and winters in Phoenix, where he married Blanche Stevenson in 1973. Mr. Brown was a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and a 25 year member of the Meaderville Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, his mother Mrs. Katherine Brown, Sons and daughter-in laws, Jerry Brown and Mr. & Mrs. Robert L. Brown all of Butte, Daughter Mrs. Thomas (Lois Ann) Odland of Seattle, and four Grandchildren. Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday at 10 in Immaculate Conception Church followed by Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
