There is also an entry in Inverchaolain parish records dated 1776 which states:
John Junkan, widower in Achantian this day intimated his purpose of marriage with Margaret McLish widow in the parish of Kilfinan the same to be made public according to force of law was not married!


The next page states on 12 September, 1776 John Jenkin widower in Achatian in this parish with Violet White daughter to Archibald White in Dergacha in Dunoon & Kilmun, married at Ballochyle. The marriage also registered in Dunoon and Kilmun

I am still researching the Jenkins. For sure, John and Andrew were brothers.
