    The marriage was celebrated at Wesley College Chapel yesterday of Marjorie Campbell, younger daughter of Mrs Jenkins, Roseneath, Warrnambool, and the late Major D. Halley Jenkins, to Owen Carne, eldest son of Mr and Mrs E. C. Candy, Heidelberg rd, Alphington. Rev Leigh Cook officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Stuart Jenkins, and attended by WRAN Patricia Thom and Miss Shirlie Neale, wore a gown of magnolia slipper satin and a Limerick lace veil. Flying-Officer George Dight, DFC, was best man.

    In the western district there were several fine properties belonging to Sir William, including about 3000 acres near Purnim, which is 12 miles distant from Warrnambool, and 456, acres near McArthur. A large portion of these two properties was recently subdivided into dairy farms, and Sir William's interest in that district were superintended by Mr Alan Jenkins, of Roseneath.
