    Boyd was born June 16, 1933, on a farm near Trent, SD, to James and Eldora (Larson) Headrick. He graduated from Egan High School in 1951 and then attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls. He married Lorraine Frauenberg on August 27, 1952, at Sioux Falls. Boyd farmed and then did TV repair for several years. He went to work for Royal River Casino in 1990 retiring in Aug. of 2001 as Supervisor of Hosts. Boyd was active in baseball where he coached and umpired and also announced at football games for Flandreau. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Flandreau Booster Club and a former member of the Kiwanis. Boyd is survived by 5 children, Steve(Coral),Flandreau; DeVere(Barb), Aurora, IL; Corrine(Art) Moynihan, Ellettsville, IN; Rhonda(Ron) Harris, Sioux Falls; and Coleen (Rod) Schaefer, Phoenix, AZ; 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchilden, 1 brother, Curtis (Shirley), Brandon,SD; and 2 sisters, Marjorie(David) Sands, Sac City, IA; Sandra Koester, Flandreau; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 granddaughter, Jennifer, and 1 brother-in-law, Wally Koester. Interment Union Cemetery, Flandreau

    Eldora Headrick
    FLANDREAU - Eldora B. Headrick, 90, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls.
    Eldora Larson was born Aug. 17, 1910, on a farm south of Flandreau. She attended school at Kirkland Country School.
    She married James Cavner Headrick on Oct. 22, 1932, in Parker. The couple farmed west of Trent and in Minnehaha County until 1944 when they moved to rural Moody County, where they lived until their retirement in 1976. She took a nurses aid course and worked at the Flandreau Hospital, after she raised her family. Her husband died in 1976. She moved to Flandreau later that year.
    She was a lifetime member of Messiah Lutheran Church, a member of the Democratic Party, the Order of the Eastern Star, Square Deal Club and the American Cancer Society, where she received a lifetime service award.
    Survivors include two sons: Boyd of Flandreau, and Curtis of Brandon two daughters: Marjorie Sands of Sac City, Iowa, and Sandra Koester of Flandreau 12 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren one great-great-granddaughter one sister, Ann Scriver of Soquel, Calif. and one brother, Louis of Waconia, Minn.
    Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday in Messiah Lutheran Church in rural Flandreau with burial in Union Cemetery.
    Visitation begins at 2 p.m. today in Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau
